On the morning of Monday, October 5, 2026, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh conducted a Physical Education demonstration lesson with Class 7A6 at Giang Bien Secondary School. The lesson combined physical practice, group activities, and the use of English to encourage students’ initiative and active participation.
The lesson began with general and activity-specific warm-up exercises to prepare students for the physical tasks that followed. The game “Moving Sideways to the Finish Line with a Ball Held Between Partners’ Backs” engaged students while developing their agility and ability to coordinate with a partner.
Following the warm-up, students practised the movements from counts 20 to 30 and reviewed previously learned movements to complete the 30-count exercise sequence. The teacher provided guidance, observed students’ performance, and corrected errors to help them achieve proper posture, rhythm, and coordination. Students practised in four groups, taking turns to lead their peers. This approach provided opportunities to develop autonomy, cooperation, and a sense of responsibility. Through practice, observation, and peer feedback, students gradually strengthened their movement skills.
An innovative feature of the lesson was the integration of English into teaching and learning activities. Connecting language with physical movement enabled students to engage with English in practical situations, contributing to an environment that encourages the use of English throughout the school.
To apply the skills they had learned, students participated in the “Team Hopping” game, developing balance, movement coordination, and respect for the rules. At the end of the lesson, they performed cool-down exercises, received feedback, and were shown how to scan a code to access materials for practice at home, gradually building habits of independent physical practice.
After the lesson, members of the Arts and Physical Education Department exchanged feedback and reflected on the organisation of the teaching and learning activities. The professional development session also benefited from practical guidance from Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hang, Principal of the school, providing a basis for the department to further refine its teaching practices and improve instructional quality.
Through appropriately structured activities, the demonstration lesson contributed to the development of students’ movement skills, teamwork, and awareness of personal health, while highlighting innovation in Physical Education teaching at Giang Bien Secondary School.
